There may be times where you may feel unhappy with how your business is going. It happens more often than you think both in life and especially in business. Based on the kind of mindset you have you would either say âI canât do thisâ or âI will continue trying.â Developing a growth mindset will help your future self when it comes to a future bump in the road. There is a big difference between those two phrases, one is a fixed mindset and the other is a growth mindset. Whatâs the difference you may ask? â˘Growth mindset: You are more likely to maximize your potential â˘Fixed mindset: You believe that you are good at a certain number of things If you related more to the âI canât do itâ phrase then chance are you have a fixed mindset. You can change the kind of mindset you have, all it takes is practice getting used to having a growth mindset. Here a few ways you can practice getting used to having a growth mindset: 1. Focus on the Smaller Stuff First â Thinking about the big picture will make you become overwhelmed by making your mind automatically think you canât do it. Focusing on the small stuff first will help make those tasks be simple and easy to complete. 2. Making a Schedule and Sticking to it â Creating a schedule will help you know what you need to do each day. By making a schedule you are less likely to say you donât have nothing to do. Making a schedule is one thing but actually completing it will help with your growth mindset. You have to put in the work to see results. 3. Donât Give Up â Giving up may seem like the easiest thing to do but you wonât reach your goals if you quit. 4. Focus on the Process Rather than the Outcome â Itâs all about the journey not the destination. By focusing only on the process and not on the outcome you will notice that you reached your big goal without even noticing it. Having a growth mindset wonât happen overnight it will take time to develop that kind of mindset. By focusing on your mindset and developing into a growth mindset it will help future you when there is a bump in the road.
