When starting and maintaining a business you will need to be consistent with what you are doing. You can’t really expect a lot of traction when you are a brand new business, you have to put in time, effort and have patience when it comes to getting results. You also need to remember that marketing is important when letting people know about your business. Marketing isn’t a one and done thing, you are constantly going to have to find new ways to market your business to gain revenue. Staying consistent is hard to do in the first place because we want to stay focused on the outcome rather than focusing on the process. You want to have good thoughts when the revenue comes in but don’t want to think about the process of getting to that point. Not only is consistency important but being persistency as well. Both help when it comes to achieving goals you’ve planned. But there is a difference between the two terms: • Consistency – Being able to get things done normally • Persistency – Being able to get things done in spite of difficult things happening Feeling stuck when it comes to staying consistent? Here are some ways to help build up your momentum to get back to being consistent: 1. Create a Plan and Stay Committed – Having a game plan will help you see the direction you want your business to go in. Once making the plan and understanding what you need to do you have to put in the effort to see results. 2. Have Goals that Work – Having goals are great but you need to make sure that they are SMART goals. 3. Expect Obstacles – Starting a business isn’t easy as you think there will be bumps on the road. Being persistent will help you get through the difficult task at hand. 4. Work with the Right Mindset – The right mindset will help with being consistent, having a growth mindset will help tremendously when there is something hard in your way. 5. Celebrate along the Way – Its good to focus on the small victories on the way. It will be a reminder that you are doing good when it comes to your business. Instead of focusing on getting money right away, let’s focus on the small victories along the way when it comes to starting and maintaining your business. Being persistent is hard at times but you have to remember that the bump in the road is temporary but after passing that bump in the road the reward is amazing.
